Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program
Comprehensive Services Include:
- Consultation and outreach
- Evaluation and assessment
- Individual alcohol/drug counseling including IDRC (Intoxicated Driver Resource Center)
- Psychiatric care for co-occurring disorders
- Referrals for more intensive treatment
- Early Recovery program
- Recovery support groups are for students who have the desire to stop drinking or using drugs
- Recovery Housing available to students who are in recovery from alcohol and/or other drugs
- Al-Anon/Adult Children of Alcoholics groups for students with who are concerned with the AOD use of family members
- Nicotine Dependence program
- Research with the Center for Alcohol Studies
- Coordinate with professional assistance programs including New Jersey Lawyers Assistance Program, Pharmacy Assistance Program, AA, NA, and Smart Recovery
The primary goal of our program is early identification and treatment of alcohol and drug abuse problems and alcohol and drug dependence. There is a much greater chance for recovery when a problem is detected early.
